Delete your account and data

You can delete your Squadin account yourself, in the app, at any time. This page explains how and what happens to your data; the full details are in our Privacy Policy.

In the app

  1. Open Squadin and sign in.
  2. Open the menu and tap Account.
  3. In the Privacy section, tap Delete Your Account.
  4. Type delete all to confirm and tap Destroy.

Spend or withdraw your SKOIN before deleting: a balance left on a deleted personal account is not refunded or paid out.

If you cannot open the app

Write to alban [at] squadin [dot] com from an address where we can reach you, with the phone number of the account. We verify that the request comes from the account owner and delete the account within 30 days.

What happens when you delete your account

  • Your account is closed and your profile is removed from Squadin immediately: nobody can see it or find it, nobody can sign in to it, and you are signed out on every device.
  • Your linked sign-in methods are permanently deleted: for Apple, Google and Facebook, the account ID and email address the provider shared with us; for a passkey, its public key. Your devices' push notification registrations are permanently deleted too.
  • The photos, videos, voice notes and documents you sent in chats are permanently deleted from our storage.
  • Teams where you were the only admin are archived, and venues or organizations where you were the only admin are closed.

What we keep

We keep what other people's records depend on, and what the law requires:

  • The matches you played: lineups, goals, results, statistics and awards are part of the other players' records too.
  • Messages you sent stay in the chats you were in: on the other members' phones, and on our servers until the message retention period in the Privacy Policy ends.
  • Wallet transactions, invoices and withdrawals, for 10 years, as Albanian tax and accounting law requires.
  • The account record all of this is linked to, because removing it would break those records. It stays hidden and cannot be used, and the personal data left in it is erased or anonymised once the retention periods in the Privacy Policy end.

Apple, Google, Facebook and passkeys

Deleting the account deletes every sign-in method linked to it at once. To stop using just one of them and keep the account, open Account → Login methods and remove it there: it is deleted from our records right away, and your phone number and password keep working. You can also remove Squadin from the apps connected to your Apple, Google or Facebook account.
